This piece references the piece “face to face” where the individual battles with disassociation in a social setting. This piece pulls us closer in to get a look at the individual in the mirror. While in the original piece she was but a blur, here she is getting back in touch with herself and her surroundings, hence her image in the mirror being clearer.
